Delmar Ending

Delmar's ending is one of the more complicated endings in the game in that, unlike the endings geared towards a boy, there is no corresponding hint bade. That being said, the general idea behind the Delmar Ending is pretty straightforward and easy to accomplish once you get the ball rolling.

  1. After the opening conversation with Madam Appleby, head to the kitchen and talk to Gilroy.
  2. Pick "Did you want some help?" to help Gilroy make lunch for the guests. At the end of the conversation, he will give you the "Sandwich" he made. Yum...!
  3. While in the kitchen, grab the "Red Herring." You will need this later.
  4. Head downstairs and towards the library. Skyler will be blocking the entrance. Talk to him once and then give him the "Sandwich" in order to make him move.
  5. Go into the library and talk to Clair.
  6. Go to the courtyard and talk to Delmar once. He will tell you that he wants to have a date with you and kiss you, but there are too many people around. In total, there are four people who can see the courtyard, your Brother Caden, the student Hubert, a guard who will later be replaced by Erol, and the servant Concerto, who is viewing the courtyard from above.
    NOTE: Concerto appears to be the person most people forget about, however Delmar mentions that the courtyard can be seen from the second floor.
  7. Talk to Hubert to tell him that Skyler is no longer blocking the library. This will remove the first person from the courtyard. Three more to go!
  8. Now, head through the courtyard to the training grounds. A cutscene will trigger where you'll be asked to help Erol get past a monster. Erol will now be following you.
  9. Head into the squire's dorms to trigger another cutscene.
  10. Give the "Red Herring" to the cat and you will acquire the "Antique Chain" and "Kitty" items.
  11. Once you leave the squire's dorms you will be confronted by Aydin who will ask you to give him the "Antique Chain." It doesn't matter if you do or don't, as Clair's location has no bearing on this ending.
  12. Head back into the squire's dorms and go to the upper left room. There you will find one of Caden's toys, a "Toy Soldier." Take it with you.
  13. Go back to the courtyard and Erol will now be standing where the guard was before. Use the cat on him and pick "Ah what the heck! This'll be fun!" to remove him from the courtyard. (Alternatively, you can advance him to Step 19 to move him to the servant's quarters. But that's a lot of work, isn't it?)
  14. Give the "Toy Soldier" to your brother and he will leave the courtyard for his bed room.
  15. Examine the bush of pink flowers in order to pick and acquire a "Pink Flower" for yourself.
  16. Go back to the second floor and give the "Pink Flower" to Concerto to inspire him to write a song. He will leave.
  17. Go back to the courtyard and talk to Delmar once again in order to trigger the ending and discover JUST who he really is. Have fun!
